Ada Health wants to bring quality medical care to the most distant corners of the globe – by using an artificial-intelligence app to evaluate patient responses to questions and produce diagnoses as a physical doctor would.
The idea has convinced the 500-million-euro strong Catalyst Fund at Samsung to conclude a strategic partnership with the Berlin start-up.
“Ada can serve as the entry globally to the health system and help diagnoses to be reached more quickly and efficiently,” Ada founder and CEO Daniel Nathrath told Gründerszene magazine. “In Europe, we are largely talking to health insurers as partners. But were also holding talks with governments that are interested in making Ada a fixed part of their health systems.”
Ada received EUR 40 million euros in venture capital in 2017 and says it has taken in further significant investments since then.
