Political relations between the US and Germany may have grown somewhat tenser since 2016, but the business climate between the two countries remains excellent.
In its annual Transatlantic Business Barometer survey, the American Chamber of Commerce (Am Cham) in Germany determined that 81% of US entrepreneurs in Germany rated the country as a “very good” or “good” business location. A majority of those polled said they expected the situation to continue improving in coming years, and 77% anticipated higher revenues in 2019.
American entrepreneurs praised Germany for the “quality of employees,” “quality of supplier networks” and “potential as a sales market.”
GTAI CEO Robert Hermann called this a sign of “a basic optimism and faith among American businesspeople, where Germany is concerned.”
