Billion-Investment of Bosch in Dresden
August, 2018
This spring, Bosch started the construction of a new semiconductor plant in Dresden, which should enter into operation by late 2021. The ultra-modern factory will produce semiconductors based on 300 millimeter technologies especially for applications related to autonomous driving and the Internet of Things. The more than EUR 1 billion investment, which is expected to create up to 700 new jobs, will represent the largest single investment in the 130-plus-year history of the German engineering and electronics giant.
