Germany is the most innovative nation in the world according to the 2020 Bloomberg Innovation Index. Last year’s winner South Korea falls into second place after a drop in productivity.
Germany has overtaken Singapore in Bloomberg’s annual innovation index to become the world’s most innovative nation. Ranking are evaluated according to dozens of criteria weighed in terms of seven metrics identifying the innovation potential of countries across the globe. These include R&D spending, manufacturing possibilities and stock exchange-listed high-tech companies. Germany scores high for its factories, presence of high-tech companies and patent activity.
