Polish food producer VICI Polska is expanding to the city of Anklam in the northeastern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It’s planning a 18-million-euro facility to make breakfast products for the Asian and Eastern European markets.
Founded in 2012, VICI specializes in high-quality cereal and milk products.
“Our products are unique, of the highest quality and aimed at thoughtful consumers,” VICI CEO Ireneusz Ozga said in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern regional government’s press release. “We want to highlight the ‘Made in Germany’ label with our new location in Germany.”
The subsidiary is expected to create 110 new jobs. Construction on the 4000-square-meter, CO2-emissions-free facility will start in autumn, with production scheduled to commence in the spring of 2021.
Germany Trade & Invest and the regional development agency Invest in MV helped VICI Polska set up its new subsidiary.
