Chinese toolmaker ZCC Cutting Tools Europe opened a new testing and demonstration center in the western German city of Düsseldorf. The opening was part of an expansion of ZCC operations that cost more than €2.5 million and created 20 new jobs.
The company says the new center will allow it to better meet individual customer requirements. It will also perform R&D, which was previously handled almost exclusive by ZCC’s Chinese parent company.
“For ZCC Cutting Tools, the German market is an important motor of product development with regards to quality and new technologies, said ZCC Cutting Tools Europe CEO Quanliang Zhao. The medium-sized enterprise has had its headquarters in Düsseldorf since 2003. It employs more than 100 people in Düsseldorf and does around €60 million in business a year.
