July, 2018

David Lloyd Leisure, one of Europe’s leading operators of family-oriented leisure and sports clubs, has acquired Health City in Bad Homburg, its first location in Germany, and plans to invest over EUR 10 million to upgrade the facility, creating up to 15 new jobs. The chain, founded in 1982 by a former British professional tennis player, has over 100 clubs throughout Europe. Glenn Earlam, CEO of David Lloyd Leisure, commented: “We believe that there is a huge untapped market for family-focused health and leisure clubs in Germany, and so we hope that our acquisition of Bad Homburg will be the first of many David Lloyd Clubs in this market.”
