EUR 50 Million from EIB
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced that it will contribute EUR 50 million to coparion, a Cologne-based venture capital fund aimed at helping young German technology companies achieve swift and sustained growth in the startup and early-growth phases in collaboration with private investors. The investment will boost the amount of assets under coparion’s management to EUR 275 million. The funds will come from the European Funds for Strategic Investments (EFSI). Coparion is backed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BWMi), the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and the state-owned KfW development bank.
