Established Japanese Firms Challenge Fledgling German Companies
The international business organizations Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Berlin and Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) have joined up to bring together German start-ups and Japanese commercial powerhouses.
The Tech Innovation Challenge 2022 will see fledgling technological innovators from the German Digital Hub initiative try to solve problems presented to them by the companies Mitsubishi Electric, Nabtesco, Nitto, Olympus and Yanmar.
The Challenge kicks off on June 9 with a “reverse pitch,” in which the companies introduce themselves and their issues to the start-ups. The problems to be solved include questions in the realms of mobility, recycling, medical video and virtual reality, motor vehicles and agriculture.
Two winners will be declared in each individual challenge. They will get a chance to pitch their ideas in front of leaders in Japanese and German industry and politics on August 31, 2022.
