US-based Fisher Clinical Services, a provider of manufacturing, packaging, storage, distribution and labeling services for the clinical supply chain is investing USD 35 million to build its European headquarters in Herten, a village located on the Swiss border belonging to the town of Rheinfelden in Baden-Württemberg. The 6,000 sq.m. facility, which is expected to create 200 new jobs over the next three years will manufacture, package and mail ingredients for clinical studies. Among its features will be 30 dispatch preparation stations, 30 office spaces, social areas and a cafeteria. Construction is expected to begin in 2018, with operations launching in 2020.
