Grants for Innovative Ideas
Since 2016, the Business Development and Technology Transfer Corporation of Schleswig-Holstein (WT.SH) has been awarding grants to help promising students and university graduates in the northern state turn their innovative ideas into successful companies.
The EUR 1 million in grants is funded by the state government through various public investment organizations and will support five to seven projects each year until 2019.
Three new winners of the grant were announced in September. These include: OrthoDrone, a company that uses drones to create high-resolution, high-precision 3D surface models; IO-Dynamics, a startup that offers a product that fleet operators can use to more efficiently charge electric vehicles; and College Curries, a startup that sells curries made from the recipes of women in India to help pay their children’s university fees.
