Germany drew a perfect score for its “well-developed infrastructure” and also drew praise for its educated population, connection to the rest of the world, technological expertise and well-developed legal framework.
The magazine also ranked the world’s countries generally based on a number of social, cultural and economic criteria. Here Germany came in fourth, trailing only Switzerland, Japan and Canada and beating out the United Kingdom, Sweden, Australia and the United States.
