Infineon Cooperates with Denso
Infineon Technologies, Germany’s largest chip maker, announced at the end of last year, that it was strengthening its long-term collaboration with Denso to bolster its automotive business, and that the Japanese automotive supplier had taken an equity stake worth roughly EUR 50 million in the company.
The collaboration will reportedly focus on fields such as autonomous driving and electro-mobility.
While the Kariya-based supplier of advanced automotive technology, systems and components will benefit from Infineon’s know-how, the Munich-based specialist in semiconductor solutions for the automotive industry will profit from better connections to Japanese industry as well as to the Japanese and global semiconductor markets.
Denso has approximately 220 subsidiaries in 35 countries as well as roughly 170,000 employees worldwide.
