No More “Virgin” Plastics
German sportswear giant Adidas announced that it will only use recycled plastics by 2024.
The pledge includes a halt to using so-called “virgin” plastics – including non-recycled polyester – in all its products as well as in company offices, retail outlets, warehouses and distribution centers.
The move will reportedly reduce the company’s environmental impact by 40 tons of plastic per year beginning in 2018.
