Texas Instruments Plans Logistics Center in Frankfurt
American tech giant Texas Instruments is going to construct a new production distribution facility in the western German city of Frankfurt am Main, home to Germany’s biggest airport. The logistics center will supply the company’s European customers with microchip and aims for one-day delivery. The facility will go into operation by the end of 2024.
“We are very pleased to expand our European presence in Frankfurt,” said Texas Instruments Europe President Stefan Bruder. “This is a central location near major customers…Frankfurt will play a key role as a logistics hub and enable faster deliveries to our European customers.”
Texas Instruments has been on the ground in Europe for decades and has operated a 200-millimeter wafer plant in Freising, Bavaria since 1966.
