Tourist Buses in Berlin Go Green
October, 2018
Tourists to Berlin might soon be able to enjoy an even cleaner version of the city’s famous air.
Beginning in 2019, a group of companies plans to convert former Berlin buses that are currently being used for tourists, switching out their diesel drives for electric ones. Over the coming years, several hundred double-decker buses will reportedly be modified at a factory in Brandenburg.
The partners in this green joint venture are the vehicle converter Tassima, the automotive supplier Ziehl-Abegg and the engineering company IAV.
