Ubisoft Studio in Berlin
In late autumn, at a party with over 100 invited guests, the French video game giant Ubisoft celebrated the opening of its new studio in Berlin. The company’s international team in Berlin – which will start with 60 developers, but is expected to grow to 150 by late 2020 – will help co-develop major Ubisoft brands, including the highly successful “Far Cry” video game series. The company has already opened studios in Düsseldorf and Mainz. The settlement project, which boosts Berlin’s status as one of the top locations in the German games industry, received assistance from the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Berlin Partner.
