Wastewater to Hydrogen
September, 2018
The Berlin-based company Graforce Hydro has developed a low-cost and climate-neutral process for producing eco-friendly hydrogen using wastewater and renewable energies.
In addition to converting the pollutants in the wastewater into energy, the highly efficient Plasmalyzer® plasma electrolysis process can be used to convert surplus regenerative energy and water into hydrogen, which can be easily stored before being used as energy – either in the automotive/transport industry or heavy industry.
The unique process, which reportedly reduces vehicle emissions by 20 to 70 percent, was first showcased to the public in the Berlin-Adlershof science park in early July.
