Munich entrepreneur Sandra Westermann started her company Superheldin to provide the sort of service she herself once wished she had.
Westermann says that for 15 years she had no problems finding work but that the situation radically changed once she became a mother. Superheldin links would-be working Moms with family-friendly employers in need of qualified employees. The jobs involved can be either full- or part-time.
The company, which was founded in 2019, makes its money from paid wanted ads taken out by companies. For mothers the service is free. Westermann says Superheldin has 300 paying clients and 4000 registered users.
Westermann adds that her goal in five years is for Superheldin to have established itself in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and to offer coaching and headhunting in addition to its core services.
